Hello Terry,
I hope this is what you wanted. Please feel free to make suggestions. In the United States, Medicare is highly supported by the people as one of the most successful social programs in the United States.
Medicare has its 43 rd birthday on July 30 so it is opportune for us to discuss Congressman John Conyers, Jr.'s bill, HR 676, The United States Health Insurance Act. HR 676 is described as an improved and expanded Medicare Healthcare Coverage for everyone in the country. It will establish universal healthcare insurance program with single payer financing.
1. Will you give a brief summary of the HR 676?
2. The detractors of this bill charge that it will be too costly, reduce quality of care, deter advancement through research, cause a rationing of care, and is socialism. How do you respond to these charges?
3.At this time the nation is experiencing an economic crisis -some people believe that it compares to the upheaval immediately after World War II and some even predict that it will continue and will compare with conditions of the Great Depression of the Thirties. Why would it benefit the United States to take on the issue of healthcare financing at this time?
4.Since I have asked questions that could be attributed to the HR 676 detractors, I want to give you a chance to add anything that might have been missed in our prior conversation that causes you and others to be so committed to HR 676?
5. How can people get involved with supporting HR 676?
