BANKERTS BLURBS SAY IT AINT SO SHANE?...[name that movie?] Flint has found yet another way to humiliate its self to the nation. Chief of Police arrested!! What’s next? * http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/index.ssf/2009/01/interim_flint_police_chief_david_dicks_appearing_in_court_to_face_charges.html -

SURGERY WITH NO CHECK LIST?. DOCTORS DISCOVER A BASIC MANAGEMENT TOOL KNOWN BY THE REST OF HUMANITY SINCE THE STONE AGE. An obscure publication said.”Eight hospitals reduced the number of deaths from surgery by more than 40% by using a checklist that helps doctors and nurses avoid errors, according to a report released online today in the New England Journal of Medicine. “ This was validated by a back woods training school.”If all hospitals used the same checklist, they could save tens of thousands of lives and $20 billion in medical costs each year, says author Atul Gawande, a surgeon and associate professor at the Harvard School of Public Health.”

HOSPITALS DISCOVER TEAMWORK!.... OH.....MY....GOD!!!!..Team work is good. To be a good team the doctors should at least bother to learn the name of the nurses. A break through! “A checklist for surgical teams that includes steps as basic as having the doctors and nurses introduce themselves can significantly lower the number of deaths and complications, researchers reported Wednesday.”

BEFORE YOUR NEXT SURGERY MAKE THE SURGEON TELL YOU THE NAMES OF THE NURSES AND ASK FOR HIS CHECK LIST!
